The time has come the walrus said, to speak of many things.

dear friends...

At a time such as this I think it's important to put your thoughts out there. Your two in the morning, scattered, grammar/ spelling error ridden, so frustrated you make no sense thoughts out and on paper. This is a passionate time in your life and passion begets creativity in some cases. It's better to give it a shot just in case your fingertips vomit genius all over the keyboard.

Where to start.... What the fuck is going on and is or isn't it as bad as they do or don't say it is. “Things never get that bad?” “People worry too much and it's just fear mongering” You want to believe that but then you hear Iceland...as a country...will declare bankruptcy soon? A fucking country will declare bankruptcy? That headline alongside, “Bailout recipient AIG is spending our tax dollars on a half a million dollar retreat at a luxury hotel for it's executives” Days after their 85 billion dollar bailout.... they are celebrating in style spending more than 25 grand in eight days on spa treatments alone. Is this real???? and to top it off and just complete the full time capsule representation of earth today for future generations, the last headline I saw is... “Boyfriend of woman stuck to toilet wins lottery for 2nd time

Sometimes while driving I realize I wouldn't mind so much if I had a muscle spasm and slammed into a wall, dying instantly and leaving everyone else to deal with the world's collective shame of being. Everything we do in life is designed to keep us in line and keep us tired, hurting, and scared enough to not mount a sufficient opposition to the blanket being put over our heads. At the same time pointing out all of our deficiencies, especially now, is unpatriotic and makes you an easy target as a ranting nut job. It is so easy for any conversation of what's going on today to snowball into the he said/ she said conspiracy theories that are too good to not be true. While we rant, we hesitate. We hesitate because we realize we've been socialized to be almost sickened by this approach to an issue. “radical” “obsessive” “just a mouthpiece for a issue” “far left/right” Whatever your title, breakthrough the built in bias and realize that the truth has gotten to the point that it's more insane than anything a bum could yell at the sky in the middle of traffic.

I realize this a bit vague and droning at times but fuck it, say whatever you can because tomorrow you'll be too tired from your shit job, too drunk off your cheap beer, too sick and unable to wait at or afford the hospital, too nervous that the world will collapse before the sun comes up the next day, or just too busy reading on the internet how to tie a noose and spell checking that suicide note. It's all designed to keep you quiet, it's all designed to make you feel a defeated failure. Don't let “the plan” succeed, I don't care what you think, I fight to ignore what my mind tells me I should think and I look at our situation in the world clearly, unbiased, and as I slowly examine it all I weep.

Thank you for reading and hopefully we'll live to write another day,

Phil

  1. and people say I'M crazy ;)

well, all i can suggest to you is that you come join us up here in new hampshire. everyone knows that shit is gonna hit the fan... if not right away, soon. but, who do you know who is preparing for that? i mean, there are people trying to "save money"... which will be worthless soon enough. there are those who "stock up on twinkies", who will be fat soon enough. but up here, i actually think we are preparing in a way that makes sense. we pay for many things between each other with gold, silver, or liberty dollars (which won't crash along side america's failed economy). we made great steps in getting people from our group into local government, so we have a say in our lives. many people (including myself) are currently owners of or working on farms to provide resources such as food and firewood for ourselves and our friends. and finally, we face the injustice of over-bloated government head on using civil disobedience, and it's starting to be understood by the police here that so many of us don't accept or put up with these laws, so things are starting to change for the better.

plus... canada is only a few hours away. just in case.

  2. while sitting in my bathtub, with my laptop tottering on the edge, i can see what you mean about ending it. but hell man, the best post come in the early hours of the day, and you're not even drunk. but the man has a point, you've made a good point, a points been made here. we were told growing up that certain things weren't made for us and that we should do the whole college/ 8 hour job deal. it's not for us man, we're here to stir the pot. word.
